A lotus blossom opens it's petals to greet the morning sun in the height of summer. This macro image was captured at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens just outside of Washington DC.

I am captivated by the beauty of the world around us and am inspired to share it with others. I create fine art nature, landscape and travel photography that showcases light, shadow, color, and texture. My eyes - and camera - are drawn to unique and compelling compositions no matter where I may see them. Inspiration comes from a walk in the woods, waves breaking on the shoreline, the delicate texture of petals on a flower or a sunset that lights up the sky.
